The "Ah HA" Moment With My Hair.

Lately I have been having some trouble with my hair. When I say some I mean everything. Nothing seems to be working. My hair seems to be forever dry, my ends forever tangled and I have this one small spot in the back of my head that seems to not want to grow. I have tried so many different products its ridiculous. I even whipped out my steamer, which I need to use more regularly, to try and mend my sad sad hair issues.

A facebook friend of mine She Natural Mua uploaded a youtube video about how she was through with shampoo. She said that after using shampoo that it took her hair days to recover and regain her desired moisture level. After watching her video I had my "Ah HA" moment. My moment was not necessarily centered around shampoo, but it was focused on how my hair use to be and what methods and products I used.

In a nutshell when my hair was at its all time high 95% of the products I used on my hair were ingestible. I could eat them....they were pure. I used almond oil, olive oil, shea butter, vegetable glycerin, clay for cleansing, chagrin valley soap, various Ayurvedic oils, soaps and powders,  george's aloe vera and took a healthy dose of hair vitamins.

I have strayed so far from this path and now I see the difference it makes in my hair. It's like my eyes are open and I can see clearly for the first time in a long time. All these various products out there for curly hair may work for some, but they do not work for me and I realize that now.

So with that being said I will be doing a product swap, for natural products only, with my various hair products that I have no use for. It feels good to go back to basics. This is where I thrive and not just with my hair.

I will be giving updates and as I come up with a new hair regimen I will post and we shall see how it goes.
